A (not remotely apologetic) word of apology about geography

Place: I appreciate that not everyone lives in London. For almost half of my life, I didn't either and frankly, I loved it up in the North of England and had to be dragged down by maternity and unemployment. However, I've been here for half of my life now, and I've gone native. So if you catch me pointing to British resources in general and London's in particular, mea culpa.

Words: If you think my spelling is a bit kooky with romantic word endings (what is this 'valour' and is it somehow more valorous than plain old 'valor'?), or if you've notice me putting an 's' in where a 'z' would do the job perfectly well, please take note that this site is written in British English and that's how we do things here.
